Crop Land and Production Jo-Su-Li Farm and Ranch Baker County, Georgia
The farm land in this area consists of sandy loam soil. Sandy loam soil is considered ideal for growing crops. Many of the crops that are grown successfully in this area include: field and sweet corn, wheat, oats, cotton, grain sorghum, soybeans, peanuts and vegetable crops.
Presently, there are three irrigated fields on the farm. There is a 60 acre field with a Valley Pivot with an electric motor. This particular field produced 235 bushels of corn per acre in 2008.
